The “Catkids shoes” Website is not a shopping-cart based website, there is no shopping-cart set up, but instead a button that reference to a shopping-cart. Catkids, a local Taiwan brand, offers young girls a fancy style of shoes while fulfilling their childish dreams as fairy tale princesses. The online shoe store was founded in 2006 by Ping-wen, and was an immediate success. Ping-Wen, who is jokingly nick-named ”Catkid” by her friends because she looks like a lovely and adorable kid, always believed that a girl’s confidence comes from a nice pair of beautiful shoes which not only protects her feet but also contributes to her style. The website uses the pink and brown to represent the sweet style of the young girl brand. The illustration helps consumers have relaxed feeling and shows consumers the shoes are comfortable because of the soft lines. A great deal of thumbnails can satisfy girls’ vanity. They can have several different choices in the website, and each of the shoes is offered to four more samples, which helps consumers see the different angles of each pair of shoes.
Because of the website, the owner of Catkids can show her consumers all the shoes and new arrivals. The website, that is not the shopping-cart based website, is a media for introducing the brand to new consumers and connecting old consumers.
